One man was killed and three other people were wounded in a shooting in a parking lot in the 9800 block of Wyatt Shores Drive in Humble on Sunday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. KPRC reported that deputies were sent to a weapons disturbance call at about 9 p.m. and that investigators said two groups had been playing softball when a disturbance broke out and moved into the parking lot.
The man who died was 30 years old and was pronounced dead at the scene. The three wounded people were taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, and the sheriff’s office has not released their ages. The sheriff’s office said two suspected shooters have been identified and are being interviewed and that weapons were recovered at the scene. No one has been charged. The shooting remains under investigation.
Wyatt Shores Drive is in the Humble area of northeast Harris County, inside this paper’s coverage area, and the investigation is being handled by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office rather than a city police department because the location is unincorporated county territory.
Lake Houston Today names no one who has not been charged, and reports charges rather than conclusions. This post will be updated if the sheriff’s office announces charges or releases further details.
