Plummer Campaign’s Internal Poll Reports a 16 Point Lead in County Judge Race

A poll commissioned by Letitia Plummer’s campaign reports her leading Republican Orlando Sanchez by 16 points in the Harris County judge race. On the initial ballot question the poll put Plummer at 53 percent, Sanchez at 37 percent and 9 percent undecided. After respondents were read biographical information about both candidates, the poll reported Plummer at 58 percent and Sanchez at 36 percent.

The survey was conducted by HIT Strategies among 600 likely general election voters in Harris County between August 14 and August 20, 2026. A margin of error was not disclosed in the coverage.

This is an internal poll paid for by one candidate’s campaign, not an independent public survey, and campaigns release internal polling selectively. No independent public poll of the November matchup has been published. Readers should weigh the result accordingly.

Harris County includes Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble, Huffman, Summerwood and Fall Creek, so the county judge race is on the ballot across the Lake Houston area in November.
