A Harris County judge denied bond on Thursday, September 17, for a 20-year-old man charged with two counts of murder in the separate shooting deaths of two 17-year-olds.
KPRC 2 reports that Judge Hazel Jones ordered Enrique Aguilar held without bond pending trial. Aguilar is charged in the August 2025 death of Angel Garcia, 17, who was shot at a house party on Waldine Street in east Harris County, and in the February 2026 death of Mariah Alatorre, 17, who was shot on Milroy Lane in northwest Harris County on Valentine’s Day. He was charged in the second case in April 2026 and in the first case in June 2026. A second person, Jefferson Velasquez, 18, is also charged with murder in the Waldine Street case.
Both men are charged and neither has been convicted. The case is set to return to court in November.
