Humble City Council members voted unanimously on September 10 to adopt the city’s fiscal year 2026-27 budget, which includes salary increases of 4.5% to 6% for most city employees, Community Impact reported. City Manager Jason Stuebe wrote in a September 10 letter included in the agenda documents that the raises will cost the city roughly $1.8 million.
Mayor Norman Funderburk said the general fund is projected to carry about $43.6 million in expenditures against roughly $44.5 million in new revenue, and that the city expects a general fund reserve balance of about $22.9 million heading into the fiscal year.
