Law enforcement agencies across Harris County arrested 297 people on drunk driving charges over the three day Labor Day weekend, Click2Houston reported. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office accounted for 65 of the arrests and the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office for 45.
Precinct 4 covers Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita and much of the Lake Houston area, and ran an increased DWI and traffic enforcement effort over the holiday. Constable’s office figures cited in the report include arrests charged as DWI with a child passenger, repeat DWI, DWI with assault on an officer and DWI with evading arrest. Everyone counted was charged, not convicted, and those cases are pending.
