Active Alerts
There are no National Weather Service watches, warnings or advisories in effect for Harris, Montgomery or Liberty counties as of this report. Two alerts are active elsewhere in Texas, an air quality alert across the Dallas and Fort Worth area and a coastal flood advisory for barrier islands on the middle coast. Neither reaches the Lake Houston area.
The National Hurricane Center is tracking a low pressure area in the southwestern Gulf that it expects to become a tropical system. Its forecast turns that system toward the northern Gulf Coast late this week, and the center is asking interests from the Florida Panhandle to Louisiana to monitor it. Texas is not in that advisory area at this time.
