A juvenile riding an electric scooter to school was struck by a vehicle in Atascocita around midday Thursday, FOX 26 Houston reported. The crash happened near Eagle Springs Parkway and Grand Teton Trail.
Harris County Precinct 4 deputies investigated the auto-pedestrian crash. Constable Mark Herman’s office said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene to speak with investigators, and described a heavy police presence in the Atascocita area afterward.
The juvenile was taken to a hospital by EMS. No condition was released, and no charges or citations were reported. This is the second reported crash involving a young rider on an electric scooter or bike in the Atascocita area in recent weeks.
