Humble City Council approved roughly $392,000 in vehicle and equipment spending for the city’s emergency departments at its meeting on Wednesday, October 8, according to Community Impact. The money covers three separate purchases across the fire marshal’s office, the fire department and the police department.
The items Community Impact reports the council approved were about $55,000 for a 2027 Chevrolet Tahoe for the fire marshal’s office, already carried in that department’s capital outlay budget; about $76,700 for eight replacement Motorola portable radios and accessories for the fire department, which officials said came in under the budgeted amount; and about $260,000 as the second lease payment to D&M Leasing on 15 Chevrolet Tahoes for the police department. The city has roughly $692,000 set aside for those lease payments in its 2026-27 budget. The report does not give a vote count.
Humble is one of the communities this site covers, and these are the departments that answer calls inside the city limits, so what the council buys for them is local spending of local tax money.
