Humble ISD trustees voted unanimously on September 8 to hold the district’s property tax rate at $1.1052 per $100 of taxable value for fiscal year 2026-27, the third consecutive year at the same rate, Community Impact reports. The rate splits into $0.7552 for maintenance and operations and $0.3500 for debt service.
A flat rate is not a flat bill. Community Impact reports the average Humble ISD homeowner’s tax bill is projected to rise roughly $28, from $2,342 to $2,370, because the district’s average home value climbed from about $346,000 to $348,300. Humble ISD serves Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, Summerwood and Fall Creek, so this is the school tax line most Lake Houston area homeowners will see on their statement.
The district rate is separate from the Harris County rate, which commissioners advanced as a proposal on September 8 and will take up for final adoption on September 17.
